“What Have You Done” by Within Temptation // BBC Robin Hood

I wrote this fanfic for it: http://veritas724.livejournal.com/52415.html because the story was so detailed in my mind as I worked on it, and this is the first time I’ve felt like the story outdoes the video. This is also probably the only time I will leave my mark on an overused band, I’ve seen their songs used on some weird fandoms, but hopefully this is all fitting 
It’s your basic “I’m in love with a sadistic lunatic, but I can’t help myself story.” The premise? Extremely AU. Robin sees that Marian is falling for Gisborne, but he knows Marian doesn’t see the true Gisborne, so he tries to… erm… enlighten her, out of jealousy or good friendship, it depends on whether you want to make it juicier by turning it into a triangle. So Marian is gradually enlightened to Gisborne’s ways, but she still falls for him, insisting she sees some good in him. While they’re at war, Guy kills Robin and leaves him for dead, (so when you see Robin fall in the sand, it’s over for him, okay? ) and Much returns home with the tragic news without knowing Guy was the murderer. Marian is devastated when she realizes that Guy is Robin’s murderer (via the tattoo), and decides to avenge Robin’s death. Meanwhile, Nottingham and Locksley are falling into corruption in Robin’s absence, as the gang has gone into hiding and Allan is working for Gisborne. Marian knows all this, but she’s battling herself as well, as she can’t resist her true feelings for Guy in her moments of weakness. He tries to appeal to her and insists he can change, but in her heart she knows the truth and resists his advances. He gets angry and starts a rampage, ruining Marian’s life. Their strong wills, differences, and overpowering chemistry eventually leads to both of their demises.
